Overview
The first Michigan Creative Film Alliance venture officially kicked off Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at the Kellogg Biological Station in Gull Lake, where students and faculty met for a three-day retreat. The keynote speaker was Bill Mechanic, a respected film producer. A graduate of Michigan State University, Mr. Mechanic produced many outstanding films and oversees his own company, Pandemonium Films. For more information, please read his biography.
While at the retreat, students from the three universities became familiar with each other and the faculty. Much planning took place at that time, allowing for a smooth transition to the production phase.
